DURHAM, N.C. - North Carolina Central University’s (NCCU) School of Education, College of Arts and Sciences and University College will sponsor a workshop titled “Encouraging Literacy in Science and Technology Education” on Thursday, June 15, and Friday, June 16, 2006, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Mary M. Townes Science Complex, Room 2229.
This two-day summer workshop is designed to provide professional development to NC Science and Technology middle and high school teachers. Technology Enhanced Learning in Science (TELS) modules and program features will be introduced and explored. Presenters will provide hands-on and curriculum based activities to assist in the math, science and education classrooms. CEU credits will be offered.
