The Assistive Technology for Infants and Preschoolers project is an inclusive therapeutic preschool program for children birth to 5 years of age who may benefit from assistive technology (e.g. adapted toys, switches, communication and learning tools, etc.). ATIPP serves children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, providing therapeutic playgroup activities as well as individual therapy. Individual and group activities promote communication, social, learning, and motor skill development while targeting speech and language goals.
ATIPP is a partnership program between NCCU's Speech and Hearing Clinic and the Durham Affiliate of National Black Child Development Institute (NBCDI) and is supported in part by a grant funded by the Rehab Therapy Foundation.
