Assistant/Associate Professor, with emphasis in Elementary/Middle Grades Language Arts/Social Studies or Math/Science

One tenure track position, 9-month, Assistant/Associate Professor, with specialties in Elementary/Middle Grades Language Arts/Social Studies or Math/Science. A doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction, Elementary Education and/or Middle Grades Education with a focus on language arts/social studies and/or mathematics/science. A public school teaching license in one or more of these areas and teaching experience (preferably 5+ years) are required. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience with successful teaching at the university level, university/school partnerships, ESL or AIG licensure, and developmental supervision/mentoring. Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrate a strong commitment to and potential for teaching, service/outreach, research and external funding. Teaching undergraduate and graduate methods courses in elementary/middle grades language arts/social studies and/or mathematics/science. Supervise elementary and/or middle grades student teachers. Advise undergraduate and graduate students. Additionally, candidates are expected to participate on School of Education and campus committees, provide service to schools, and engage in research and scholarly activities.
