The Department of Counselor Education offers programs in community agency, career, rehabilitation and school counseling. The community agency, career and school counseling programs are CACREP accredited.
Applications to the programs are due on October 1 for the Spring and March 1 for Fall admission consideration. Candidates are required to submit the Graduate Application, two transcripts of all college work, two professional recommendations and Graduate Record Examination Scores. All materials must be on file by the deadline for an application to be considered. There is not a specific GRE cut off score, but the Department prefers scores at or above the mean. Successful applicants tend to have GPA's of 3.0 or better. After an initial review of the applications, successful candidates are invited for an interview before the final admission decisions are completed.
