Gateway 2: Foundations (18)
- EDEC 5626 - Seminar in Cultural Diversity (1)

- EDSH 5745 - Early Intervention: Teaching and Assessing Infants and Toddlers (3)
- EDEC 5840 - Advanced Curriculum and Methods for Inclusive Early Education (3)

- EDEC 5690 - Initial Practicum (May be satisfied if candidate has 2 consecutive years of TPAI ratings of "Standard" or higher with BK populations. Faculty observation is required to validate areas of BK competence and courses needed. Initial practicum includes 5 weeks in infant-toddler setting, 5 weeks preschool, 5 weeks kindergarten (all inclusive settings) (3)
All students requesting initial licensure at this point in the program must complete EDEC 5690 as described above.
