Welcome! I am currently working on a new design for the SOE. As with the current site:
- Each page is based on a template, which I created within Dreamweaver
- The style of the template, from the font-size to the colors, is controlled by style sheets - these style sheets allow for easily changing the look of the pages without having to change the content
- Separating the style from the content not only makes the pages easier to maintain, it is the "standard" in design as it allows for anyone, regardless of how fast their computer is or what physical abilities they may or may not have, to view the content
- The template (and each page created from it) consists of small, common, graphics - this makes the page load VERY quickly
this site's purpose
Within these pages I will try to offer suggestions and resources for creating pages and sites, obtaining and/or editing graphics, making pages and sites accessible for ADA compliance, and will let you know how and when you can contact me.
