CRT - Requirements for the Grant
The CRT grant funds students pursuing a graduate degree in special education who have or are willing to complete a dual license in either elementary education, middle grades or a secondary license in Math, English, Comprehensive Science or Social Studies.
The US Department of Education requires that students who are funded by the grant repay the scholarship/loan by working two years for every year (21 hours) funded by the grant.
The CRT grant requires that all participants complete a summer practicum experience of 175 hours working with students or families from a cultural community different than their own. The student's advisor and the principal investigator of the grant must approve the practicum experience.
