The Department of Special Education is actively recruiting applicants for the graduate program in special education in behavioral/emotional disabilities. A grant from the Office of Special Education programs provides funds for at least twenty five scholars to receive full reimbursement for the costs of their graduate program. Re-ED scholars will repay the scholarship/loan by teaching in special education programs for two years for every year they are funded (21 hours).
Re-ED scholars will be prepared to function as teacher counselors and liaisons to culturally and linguistically diverse communities. The focus of the program is on working with students who have serious emotional disturbance.
The Re-ED grant will reimburse all tuition and fees for participants, provide money for books, and money for travel to professional conferences.
