(You must have RealPlayer or WinAmp installed to listen to this stream)
AudioNet
is owned and operated by North Carolina Central University and is a
training facility designed to give students experience in the field of
broadcasting. AudioNet is
located in the Farrison Newton Communications building on the campus of
North Carolina Central University.
AudioNet
is staffed by students majoring in Broadcasting, Music Industry Studies,
and a variety of other majors. AudioNet students are volunteers,
work-study students, and community service students at NCCU. Students
at AudioNet are trained to be announcers, news anchors, production
directors, music directors, and to hold other positions created to
provide a professional broadcast training foundation while in college. Advanced students are promoted to positions
within NCCU's Jazz station, WNCU 90.7 where they have the
opportunity to learn how a public radio station in a medium market
competes for market share and funding.
AudioNet
provides listeners with a variety of music, news, and information
designed to entertain as well as inform.
AudioNet's primary format is a mixture of Hip Hop and R&B.
AudioNet also provides listeners with a daily Gospel show, and
Quiet Storm show designed to appeal to the vast majority of students
enrolled at NCCU. AudioNet
can also be viewed and listened to on Channel 9 in the dorms,
classrooms,
and office buildings on the campus of NCCU.
